This was an earlier work. I saw what I perceived to be God's eye in a vision, with all these children dancing around it:
"Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings." —Psalm 17:8
On one side were flames of fire; the other the Spirit moving. I couldn't figure out how to paint the pupil and iris though. For days, the painting just hung on the wall. Undone.
One night, quite late, I was awoken by, "Get up. I want to tell you how to paint My eye."
I stumbled out of bed and made my way to the studio. He explained His pupil is white with various colors around it, while the iris has gold and white coming from it. In my limited ability of painting, this was my interpretation...
