Praying a couple of weeks back, I saw a picture of a lion licking a person, like a lioness cleans her cubs. I didn't quite understand what it meant, but I knew I would paint it. 
 
After the assassination attempt against President Trump, I was seeking the Lord about the craziness in our country, and I did what creatives do, I decided to start a painting. Dripping 13 stripes down the canvas, the colors blurred together. The chaos in the natural was manifesting on my canvas.
 
I looked up the meaning of each color:
*Red: valor and bravery
*White: purity and innocence
*Blue: vigilance, perseverance, and justice
 
I couldn't figure out how to get the stars and blue incorporated into the painting. I heard a simple "Paint the Lion licking the person. Make Him blue, since He is a God of justice," and kept hearing, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face..."
 
God, our country needs you. Let us find a resting place in You, and we will be a place where Your Spirit will come and inhabit.
 
2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
