Presently, I believe the church is in a shift. Many of us are letting go of things that we have known; things that have brought us comfort in times past. Some of this shift has come by choice, some by necessity, some by tearing, death or loss; some by promotion, letting go and letting God. Still other shifts have come unexpectedly, undeserving, while for others the shift has come purposed with fierce tenacity. But I believe that many of us are turning and facing this unknown with the eyes of faith, with no grid except the Holy Spirit as our guide.
How can we understand the things of the Spirit, but by the spirit? "Get ready!" has been admonished throughout the church for the 20+ years I have been a Christian. Our present reality is not what is. But we are crossing over a threshold into an unseen reality of what is to come. And the Spirit is wooing us into this place of deep intimacy. Get ready.....
